"RUN FOR THE ROSES"

"RUN FOR THE ROSES" is a 5K Run/Walk which is held annually in August at the Honesdale High School Track Complex off Terrace Street. For this year only, the race begins in the Daniel J. O'Neill Sports Complex, winds through 5 kilometers around the sports complex, Lakeside Elementary School campus, along Lake Cadjaw, and finishes near the Honesdale High School track. 

The race will take place on August 24, 2024 (rain or shine). Race registration and packet pick up will take place from 7:15-8:15am. Call to starting area is at 8:25am. The race and walk starting time is 8:30am.

$20 pre-registration (no later than August 17, 2024) ensures a participant t-shirt.

Race day registration: Students $20, all others $25. (Family Discount) $5 for each additional family member after first three.

Awards:
  • Trophies will be awarded to the first-place-overall male and female finishers.
  • Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female runners in designated age groups.
  • Award will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place walkers (not by age group).
